In today's Charlotte Observer, there is a quote from NFL Carolina Panthers Head Coach John Fox discussing the chance of changing quarterbacks in this weekend's game.   Here is what he said:

"The quarterback position is about decision-making."

Notice that he did not say anything about personality or even behavior!   If this doesn't say it all than I don't know what does!

Are personality and behavior important in athletic performance?   Sure...they definitely play a contributing role.   However, at the end of the day it all comes down to how the athletes thinks and makes decisions, especially at the professional level where every athlete is fast, powerful, strong, explosive, etc...
